The Boathouse at Fletcher’s Cove
Fletcher’s Boathouse is located 2 miles North of Key Bridge and 1 mile South of Chain Bridge, at the intersection of Reservoir Road and Canal Road. You will know you have reached the entrance when you see the Abner Cloud House, an old stone building, which is adjacent to the canal.
From Key Bridge heading TOWARD DC: Turn LEFT at Georgetown onto Canal Rd NW, and continue for approximately .5 mile, then turn LEFT to continue on Canal Rd NW at the light. The exit for Fletcher?s Cove is approximately 1.5 miles down on your left. The entrance road goes down, and there is parking directly on your left. There is MORE parking if you follow the road further down and through the tunnel. Gather at the trail.
Of Note: If you come over Chain Bridge, you will have to make a VERY hard right into the entrance, or make a two-point turn. You can also turn left up Reservoir Road, turn around and come back for an easier entrance.
